Understanding Bonus Value
What This Calculator Does
It estimates the expected value of a bonus after accounting for the losses you'll likely incur while meeting wagering requirements. A 100 bonus with 35x wagering isn't worth 100. It's worth whatever remains after you've wagered 3,500.
The Math
If you wager 3,500 on slots with a 4% house edge, you'll lose approximately 140 on average. That's more than the 100 bonus. The bonus has negative expected value.
Game Restrictions
Most bonuses restrict which games contribute to wagering. Blackjack might contribute only 10% (so 10 wagered counts as 1). This calculator assumes you're playing games that count 100%, usually slots.
Variance
This shows expected (average) outcomes. Individual results vary wildly. You might complete wagering with money left over, or lose everything quickly. The expected value is what happens on average across many attempts.
